Schemeta has developed an e-Learning Readiness Toolkit for the NHS. The toolkit, developed with Gooii, is for all NHS organisations and provides advice, guidance and resources for planning an approach to e-Learning.
"The e-Learning readiness toolkit provides NHS e-Learning developers, trainers and training managers with everything they need in order to measure the maturity of the e-Learning provision within their organisation." NHS CFH
The NHS needed their toolkit to provide information about topics related to e-learning including popular learning models, champion programmes. It was developed after research into maturity models and extensive stakeholder involvement. It is also being piloted and developed further for Skills for Health and the Skills Academy for Health.
A readiness toolkit can help organisations understand where they are at the moment and provide links to useful resources to help them progress.
A toolkit is an easily accessible online set of tools and resources to support planning and progression. It can include:
A readiness tool part has a set of statements divided into categories and broader sections. Users can then decide where they best fit for each statement. Once some or all of the categories are completed, users can get a report showing where they are for each category. A snapshot can be taken and compared with current status later on to show how much progress has been made.
A toolkit can be tailored to meet a wide range of requirements. The underlying software engine uses open source components and comes with an easy to use editor to allow owners to maintain the resources and keep information up to date. Perhaps your organisations would like to understand how prepared they are.
