Schemeta has developed international contacts in the field of e-learning and skills for life training. For example it has worked on the following:
Mike is involved in the ASPECT project via Vocabulary Management Group who have developed a Vocabulary Bank for Education. This holds controlled vocabularies for the project that are used to validate metadata for the various ASPECT services.
For many years Mike has attended, and often chaired, international and European meetings of groups that develop standards for ICT in learning education and training.

In March 2009 Jenny and Mike visited Wellington, New Zealand. They both presented at a digital learning conference organised by the Ministry of Education.
Jenny spoke about how e-learning had impacted on literacy and numeracy teaching for adults.
This was followed up with two seminars with leading government officials and practitioners. Mike attended the international standards meetings for SC36.
Training and consultancy for the Mauritius adult literacy programme with ICSSP. In November 2008 Schemeta directors, Jenny and Mike, went to Mauritius to provide consultancy and training to help launch the national adult literacy programme. This involved participating in, and presenting at, a 2-day conference and providing training the trainer sessions.
